Over 25,300 entries and exits by Passport at Tan Thanh Border Gate
According to statistics from relevant authorities, since the implementation of entry and exit procedures by passport at Tan Thanh Border Gate (Hoang Van Thu commune, Lang Son province) starting from January 25, 2025, a total of 25,342 entries and exits by passport have been recorded.
Among them, there were 12,573 exits and 12,769 entries (1,853 Vietnamese citizens exited and 1,955 entered; while there were 10,720 Chinese citizens exited and 10,814 entered).

The approval for citizens and tourists to use passports for entry and exit at Tan Thanh Border Gate, instead of being limited to border passes as before, has helped ease congestion at Huu Nghi International Border Gate.
At the same time, this policy has shortened geographical distances and facilitated travel for people of both Vietnam and China, thereby promoting trade, tourism, and other exchanges between the two countries.

To better meet the travel demand of citizens and visitors, the Tan Thanh Border Guard Station has increased working shifts and applied information technology in entry-exit procedures, ensuring maximum convenience for travelers.
Since the beginning of 2025, aside from passports, Tan Thanh Border Gate has also handled 522,766 entries and exits by border passes, including 125,597 Vietnamese citizens and 135,786 Chinese citizens. Most travelers were residents and tourists from the two countries visiting relatives, traveling, carrying out other purposes, or vehicle staff engaged in import-export activities. |
