Over 1,200 runners participate in the “Van Quan star anise forest” run 2025

On the morning of August 10, the People’s Committee of Van Quan commune organized the “Van Quan star anise forest” run 2025. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, attended and presented awards to the runners.

The “Van Quan star anise forest” run 2025 was one of the practical activities to celebrate the 115th birth anniversary of Comrade Luong Van Tri (August 17, 1910 – August 17, 2025) and to mark the successful first Congress of the Party Committee of Van Quan commune, term 2025–2030.

The event attracted over 1,200 runners, including 711 professional runners and 500 amateur runners from various localities inside and outside the province. They competed in three distances: men’s and women’s 5km, 10km, and 21km.

The Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and multiple consolation prizes to male and female runners with outstanding results in each distance.

The event aimed to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, encouraging the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Van Quan commune to continue successfully fulfilling political tasks and socio-economic development goals. It also contributed to promoting physical exercise and sports, improving health, enhancing cultural and spiritual life, and strengthening solidarity, exchanges, and learning experiences between communes within and beyond the province.
