Creative video contest launched to showcase tourism appeal
The competition serves not only as an outlet for travel enthusiasts to express their creativity but also as a means to expand the nation’s visual database for tourism promotion campaigns in the digital era.

Vietnam has launched a creative video and clip contest to highlight the country’s natural beauty, rich culture, and warm people to audiences at home and abroad.
The competition serves not only as an outlet for travel enthusiasts to express their creativity but also as a means to expand the nation’s visual database for tourism promotion campaigns in the digital era.
At the August 13 launching ceremony, Nguyen Thi Hoang Lan, head of the Organising Committee and Director of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Centre for Digital Transformation, said the contest, themed “Impressive Vietnam Tourism”, aims to reinforce Vietnam’s image as a compelling, high-quality, and sustainable destination, blessed with breathtaking landscapes, a vibrant cultural identity, diverse leisure experiences, and increasingly refined services.

According to organisers, the initiative is in line with the tourism sector’s digital transformation strategy, harnessing the influence of technology, social media, and short video platforms – modern channels with extensive reach.
Entries should capture Vietnam’s landscapes, people, culture, and destinations, offering distinctive and imaginative narratives. Contestants are encouraged to address priority themes outlined in the Tourism System Master Plan 2021–2030, with a vision to 2045, and the Vietnam Tourism Marketing Strategy to 2030, including cultural heritage, new tourism products, green and responsible tourism, along with wellness, golf and MICE tourism.
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens, whether living in Vietnam or overseas, as well as foreigners residing and organisations operating in the country. Each participant or group of participants may submit up to five entries, either short videos of up to 60 seconds or longer works of up to five minutes.
Submissions will be accepted from August 15 to November 15, with winners announced and awarded in December./.
